Eight Months Old!!

This month Bo....

• transitioned from size 2 to 3 diapers
• wears size 6 month tops and 9 month pants and sleepers
• went to his first waterpark and didn't really like it.
• eats solid food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• added broccoli, chicken, and peaches to his meals
• tried bread and tortillas and loves them
• still takes 2 or 3 naps a day
• started crawling with one leg straight and one leg bent
• claps his hands
• loves playing in the kitchen with the pots and spoons
• tries to pull up on the coffee table
• has 4 teeth
• weighs 18 lbs 4 oz
• loves bath time
• went to the ski slopes and hung out with Mamaw while Mom and Dad snowboarded
• took his first trip in an airplane and was the perfect traveler
• went to California and visited Aunt Hannah
• went swimming for the first time
• went to Disneyland

Seven Months Old!!

This month Bo......

• wears size 2 diapers
• wears 3-6 month and 6 month clothes
• weighs 17 lbs 5 oz
• loves bath time and loves to splash water everywhere
• loves to eat
• eats bananas, apples, peas, avocado, green beans, sweet potatoes, pears, and carrots
• scoots backwards on his tummy
• makes lots of noises and sounds
• loves interacting with people
• loves to stare at anyone who will look at him, which makes it kinda awkward for us
• sits up by himself
• loves to chew on whatever he can put in his mouth
• favorite toys are his keys, giraffe, puppy, remote, bath books, cell phones, computer, ipad
• eats solid food at lunch and dinner
• takes 2 or 3 naps a day
• gets up twice in the night to eat
• goes to bed around 8:30

Six Months Old

This month Bo.....

• experienced his first Christmas and New Years.
• took a trip to Detroit.
• took a trip to Chicago.
• has got to see lots of snow.
• started cereal on January 17.
• tried green beans on January 23-he did NOT like them the first time. He likes them now.
• wears size 2 diapers.
• wears 3-6 month and 6 month clothes.
• weighs 16 lbs 3 oz.
• still likes bath time.
• really likes being naked or in just his diaper.
• scoots backwards across the floor. He can almost get his knees under him.
• gets stuck under the couch and in the corner and gets so mad that he can't get out.
• rolls over from his back to tummy and tummy to back.
• his hair is really starting to grow. Its very long on his ears and getting dark.
• laughs and smiles all the time. Except when its nap time.
• does great traveling in the car.
• has reverted to sleeping about 3.5 hours at a time at night. It makes for two tired parents in the morning.
• loves to chew on his pacifier and stick the whole thing in his mouth.
• loves his mirror, keys, giraffe, and talking puppy.
• loves to have whatever we have-phones, remotes, spoons, cups, EVERYTHING!
• gets upset if he can't get what he wants.
• gets excited when you talk to him.
• has developed a fake cough he uses to get attention.
• still has 2 teeth.
• loves to drop his toys from his chair.
• sits at the table in his high chair.
• makes lots of noises and talks all the time.
• smiles at everyone.
• gives kisses by chewing on my chin.
• pets or pulls my hair while he is eating.
• has to stop whatever he is doing when he hears Dean's voice and then find him before he can go back to doing anything else.
• is developing a great personality. He knows when he is being funny and how to get our attention.

Look closely and you can see his bottom two teeth!!

Five Months Old

This month Bo.......

• got TWO teeth!!! They came in at the same time right after Thanksgiving.
• went on a LONG road trip to Pennsylvania
• got Family pictures taken
• went and saw Santa. He loved it, plus Santa let him suck on a Candy Cane
• rolls over from back to tummy and tummy to back
• weighed 14 lbs 4 oz
• wears some 3 month. 3-6 month, and 6 month clothes shirts
• wears 3 month and some 6 month pants
• loves getting a bath
• likes getting his clothes changed
• always wakes up happy in the morning
• still sleeps about one 5 hour stretch, one 3 hour, and one 2 hour stretch at night
• loves his giraffe, keys, and mirror
• loves to chew on his pacifier
• blows bubbles with his mouth and makes lots of noises and sounds
• He is the funniest little guy and makes the funniest faces. He keeps us laughing all the time.

Four months

It is amazing how fast these first four months have went by. It has gotten so much easier and more fun as Bo gets older. We really enjoy seeing all his firsts and getting to watch him grow. He is such a happy boy and so fun to be with. He is so well behaved and just goes with the flow.

This month Bo....

• survived four days with out power. It was not fun but he did great!
• went to his first Detroit Lions game. They lost :(
• got his four month shots
• eats every 2.5 hours
• naps 3 times a day for about 45 minutes each
• still sleeps 5 hours-3 hours-2 hours (sometimes)
• goes to bed between 8 and 9
• loves bathtime
• seems to get bored easily
• puts everything in his mouth
• discovered his tongue
• loves to laugh
• loves to be naked and get his clothes changed
• almost always happy and adapts easily
• doesn't like taking a bottle
• wears 0-3 and 3-6 month tops
• wears 0-3 month pants
• wears size 2 diapers-we love Pampers Swaddlers
• blows raspberries and slobbers everywhere
• weighs 13 lbs 10 oz

Seventeen Weeks

This week Bo...

• is finishing the last box of size one diapers. Hooray!!
• wears 0-3 month clothes and some 3-6 month tops
• is starting to really enjoy playtime with Daddy
• makes lots of noises
• squeals and kicks when he is excited
• lets you know when he doesn't like something
• loves to try to sit and stand
• drools all the time
• doesn't like tummy time
• can roll from his tummy to his back but doesn't like doing it
• experienced his first storm that knocked out our power
• loves going places
• doesn't like to be in his carseat if it isn't moving
• naps in his swing
• smiles at anyone who talks to him
• still sleeps 5 hours-3 hours-2 hours at night
• doesn't like to be left in a room alone
• loves to watch whatever we are doing

16 weeks old

This week Bo .....

• wears 0-3 month clothes
• wears size 1 diapers
• is moving all the time-he does not sit still
• loves to stand on our laps
• gets really excited when we start talking to him
• is ticklish on his tummy
• still loves bath time
• still loves getting his diaper and clothes changed
• loves to chew on his burp rags
• smiles, laughs, and makes lots of noises
• likes his play mat
• rolls over from his tummy to his back
• can scoot forward when on his tummy
• can turn all the way around when lying on his back
• will let you know when he is not happy or wants attention
• went to Chick-fil-A again
• stayed home alone with Daddy for a few hours-they did GREAT together
• likes to nap in his swing
• naps for about 45 minutes at a time
• slept for 7 hours straight twice this week-it was AWESOME
