Bo @ 19 months

Oh Bo! He is growing up so quickly. He is developing a nice, little vocabulary and has an awesome personality. There is never a dull moment when he is around. I definitely stay busy every minute he is awake.

@ 19 months Bo
  • wears 12-18 month clothes. He has to wear 12 month pants cause he is short but 18 month shirts since he still has his little belly.
  • just switched to size 5 diapers
  • weighs approx 24 lbs and is approx 32 inches tall
  • loves cars, trucks, trains, and dogs.
  • could spend all day having books read to him. Especially by Daddy.
  • takes one nap for about 2 hours daily.
  • loves to help. His current favorite thing is helping move wood for the wood furnace when its nice enough to go outside. He also loves to help with the dishes and setting the table.
  • eats just about anything. He is currently going through a phase where he only wants snacks and doesn't want to eat dinner.
  • has started throwing tantrums. He is very good at using the word No and is very stubborn when he wants something.
  • says dad, mom, hot, dog, truck, duck, frog, toad, bird, hop, no, snow, up, hi, nose, eye, toes, belly, milk, snack and others I am sure I am not thinking of.
  • knows his body parts
  • makes animal sounds for horse, cow, bunny (hop), pig, chicken, bear, dog
  • loves to play peek a boo
  • loves bath time and going outside
  • loves talking on the phone and playing with daddy's phone
  • gets into everything and climbs on everything
  • is very sneaky. If it's quiet you know he is up to something.
  • wants to be just like his Daddy!
He is an absolute joy and I don't know what we would do without him. He makes us laugh and keeps us on our toes. It is so fun to see him grow and learn. We love him so much!

Friday!!

Happy Friday All!!

One. Sick
This started about three weeks ago. Bo caught a cold that got progressively worse. Then it seemed to have went away. We were all so happy to be finished with it. Then on Monday, it came back with a vengeance. Cough and runny nose all over again. To make it worse, he passed it on to me. Now I'm coughing, blowing my nose, and feeling awful. If only Bo liked sitting still and watching tv. Then we could just snuggle the day away. Overall, it is probably a good thing he isn't into watching tv.

Two. Trip
Some of you know that Dean works a lot of weekends. It doesn't usually work out that he has lots of time off during the week but when he has a big weekend event he can take more time off during the week. Usually, it is spent working around the house and fixing things but not this week. We got a coupon in the mail and decided to use it. We got free passes to the brand new indoor water park and free Subway sandwiches. The free Subway pretty much sealed the deal. It was nice to relax and just get away. The water park was fun but kind of difficult to enjoy with a one year old. Bo didn't really love getting sprayed in the face with water either.

Three. Leaves
I love the changing colors of the leaves. It almost makes me forget about the cold weather approaching. Our yard is quickly filling up with leaves. Bo and I went out today to play. I raked some up and tried to get him to jump in. He mostly just looked at me like I was crazy. He did walk through them a couple times and hit them with his hoe and rake. He really liked that crunchy noise they made. He still likes rocks better.

Four. Rocks
Big, small, and any color. That is the criteria for Bo's rocks. He loves rocks. First, it was picking them up and eating them. Then, it was putting them into his bucket, on the sidewalk, or in the grass. Now, it is putting the bucket to his mouth and trying to eat them. I have been able to get him to dump them out before it gets all the way to his mouth but it's a work in progress. Why do little boys love to eat rocks??

Five. Etsy
Last week I mentioned my sewing. I don't feel like I am a great salesperson, so I was very hesitant to sell anything that I have sewed. I think what I make is nice, of good quality, and cute. Plus, I enjoy sewing so I decided to take the plunge. Thanks to some encouragement from Dean and my sister, I opened my own Etsy shop. I am slowly adding things but don't want to go crazy adding things in there. I would love it if you checked out my shop. If there is something you would like me to make, I would be happy to sew it for you. I am getting some new fabric next week. Hopefully, things will start selling soon!

Citrus Lane Box Review

A month or so ago, I got a coupon for a Citrus Lane Box. If you don't know what that is, it is a box of 4 products picked by parents for kids of all ages. The products for your box are picked based on your child's age. That way you don't get things that are too old or too young. I had heard quite a few good things about these boxes and even know a few people who get them every month. I figured we would try one and if we loved it we could subscribe for more months. Well...I didn't love it but didn't hate it. I don't think I would pay the full price of a box because I'm too cheap but for basically no money, it was worth it. Maybe we will try again when he gets a little older and has a longer attention span. He received a bodysuit, stacking boats bath toys, a Happy Baby Pouch, and Radish dish soap (for me). He got three products and I got one.

Bodysuit from Tea Collection. www.teacollection.com
The bodysuit is really nice. It retails from the website at $26.50. The colors are good and the fabric seems really durable. It will be great for the cooler days that are already here.
Fleet Stacking Boats Bathing Toys from Boon www.booninc.com
Bo really liked these boats. They retail on the website at $11.99. I have a hard time keeping him occupied in the tub. He likes to pull the plug and watch all the water go swirling down the drain. Bathtime usually lasts 5 minutes. After I gave him the boats, he played in the water for about 10 minutes before trying to pull the plug. He liked pouring water out of them and watching the water come out of the holes on top. I am sure he will continue to enjoy them as he gets older.

Fleet Stacking Boats

Happy Baby Pouch from Happy Family www.happyfamilybrands.com Retails about $1.79 depending on the store
Bo loves pouches. He immediately tried to open it up and carried it all around the house. We love taking them on trips or when we go to restaurants. I love the different combinations and knowing that he is going to get both fruits and veggies in one pouch. They are kinda messy when he insists on holding them himself, but he usually sucks it down fast enough that he doesn't make a big mess.

Radish Dish Soap from Mrs. Meyers www.mrsmeyers.com  The 2 ox trial size I received was $1. A 16 oz bottle retails for $3.99
I am still undecided on the dish soap. My favorite thing about it is the scent. I didn't think I would like radish, but it may be one of my new favorites. I am a big Dawn fan, so I was skeptical. It didn't suds up as much I would have liked but it did a good job getting the dishes clean and not leaving spots on my glasses. I only had one pan and it seemed to cut through the grease pretty well. Overall, I was very satisfied. It is sold at Meijer, Target, and Bed, Bath, & Beyond. I just might have to use my next BB&B coupon to buy some. I will definitely be looking for the scent.

Radish Dish Soap

I was not compensated by any of these companies. I just wanted to give a review of what was in our Citrus Lane box, so you could try these products as well. It may also help give justification as to whether to sign up for the boxes or not. It was worth the money and Bo likes all the products he received. We are going to cancel our subscription for now but may be back in the future. We will definitely be eating Happy Family pouches and possibly buying radish scented dish soap.
